What’s the POWDER you love to hate?

My one hated powder made here in Australia that is also available in the rest of the world is AR2213sc, otherwise known as H4831sc, it has never reached book velocities in any cartridge I have tried it in. Have tried it in everything from 22-250AI to 375 Weatherby and most magnum cartridges and it has always been 100-200fps SLOWER than every book I use.
Simply put, it is the most frustrating powder I have ever dealt with.

Try a different book. I generally have good luck with H4831SC, but I go over the books max load by several grs. Like wise with H4350. If you are loading 70+ grs. You can move up at .5grs at a time to find that max. Velocity should move up too.

N570. It gives maximum velocity and accuracy in my 28 Nosler. It takes a chunk of lands with every shot.

Hate is a strong word but there have been some powders I've always wanted to work for me but they just didn't. Magpro being one of those. Bring the action.

Use H1000 and save your barrel, it will thank you.

I have been shooting RL33 out of my 28 Nosler with Berger 195's pushing them pretty fast, I have over 800 rounds down the barrel and its still shooting good and I have wooped on this barrel pretty hard doing load development in 100*+ Ca. weather 1 weeks before a hunt. I shot 250 rounds down the barrel in 3 range trip, I wanted to make sure the barrel speed up before my out of state hunt. I had to put a wet towel on my barrel to cool it between strings. The N570 was the biggest killer of 28 Nosler barrels along with people chasing speed not knowing when enough is enough,lol. I shoot mine at 3150fps with a 195's and a 28" barrel and I would see guys using them at that speed with a 26" barrel and wonder why they are burning up barrels, bottom line there is no free lunch. If you shoot them at 3050fps to low 3100's they will last but not with N570.

Reloder 15 has been my nemesis. Spiky as all get out.

Reloader 22, temp sensitive. I switched to all Hodgdon powders and no more problems.

H1000 great in my 300WM. Terrible in my 243AI.

I also mistakenly bought into the idea that one "can't get enough really slow burning powder in the case to hurt anything" Well, I blew a primer in 30F. On the 243AI thinking that!

Never could get IMR-4007 to shoot in anything. Did a great job in the garden though.
Win 760 gave horrible pressure spikes in 243ai

Leverevolution shoots bugholes in sons 6.5 Grendel AR
2 other secret powders that shoot amazing in whatever I put it in.

Even AA2520? I've had so much luck across the board with it!

Have not tried that one. I know some shooters have great luck with ball powders. I've only tried StaBall, H380, and H414 with marginal results. I have heard about good results with AA2520 in the .308 (I think)

My go to load in 06 is 760 with 180HH. Incredibly accurate and great velocity out of a 22" brl on son's 700 ADL. He has whacked some nice bucks in last 2 years including first muley buck last year. It has been pretty good in 06 for me in other loads too.

Decent in 300WSM with 180PH but somehow Sierra thought great idea to discontinue.

Both and have to admit it's a little mental, sort of like the 6.5CM derangement syndrome.
