I've only tried 760 and wasn't pleased. I hear staball is the same hit-or-missWinchester Rifle Powders. They never worked out for me. I will never buy again.

Yes its a ball powder. Also had the same experience with W760. Just meh always. Is mag pro a ball powder? Never worked with that one but I will say I've had mixed experiences with ball powders in general.
One that shot "just okay" and never could get decent es and sd numbers, just all over the place and erratic, was Winchester 760. Don't hate it but never could develop a truly good load with it
There's so many options now and most of them are forever in short supply it seems. A lot of products that as far as I'm concerned don't need to exist just to take away from production capacity of other powders that aren't meh.Yes its a ball powder. Oh!!!! Tell me what's wrong with that one PLEASE! I have a nice load in need of refining with it in my .243 with 75 Barnes x at 3500. But now maybe I don't wanna pursue this further….

I have been playing with R25 and really like it. Not quite as good regarding case fill as 26, but I have still gotten some great velocities.good to know. Not that I foresee using it any decade soon
For my .300 win with heavy bullets, now that they went and discontinued 7977 and 8133 (and h1000 and retumbo command a premium I will not pay) I've rediscovered what a huge fan I am of IMR 7828 and Reloader 25. They're not so popular anymore. I'm okay with that
Sounds a lot like superformance which I like and use. But same thing. I've also had the suspicion that lvR is a progressive burn rate "super powder" that doesn't always play nice. Your words seem to confirm thatIt's seductive with high velocities, makes you sell your gun's soul!
Spikey with crazy high ES/SD till they drop in the teens, then you blow your gun up.

77gr RL25 in my ELR 30" 300WM 3060fps. No over pressure even on 100F day shooting fast.Back when Lazzeroni was the newest hottest stuff on earth all the top load data for
Their firebreathers was with rl25 or 7828. Some of the original and best true magnum powders out there. And predictable, no
Surprises, no funny business haha
I blew the ejectors out of the bolt head on a SOLUS action. Needed to rubber mallet open the bolt.@Gingerman did you actually blow up a gun with LVR or was that a hypothetical thing?
