Hello,
The initial testing of my long range 338 Win mag has proved successful. The 33 inch barrel has provided velocities exceeding max loads listed in reloading manuals for the .338 lapua. Pressures seem low, allowing easy extraction and no signs of primers flatness. 200 grain bullets have exceeded 3,400 fps.

However, after full length sizing the cases I can slide the cases all the way back into the chamber easily, but cannot close the Kelbly Tactical bolt handle. I am told the shoulder needs to be set back. I have Redding FL dies and I also have my tightnecked chambering reamer. I would appreciate your advice as to how to deal correctly with this problem. I don't know of anyone who makes a bump die for this caliber.

What is your shoulder setback from a fired case to a sized case?

Shoulder bump with an FL die basically depends how you set up the die. If you have the die cranked down to the shell holder it's taking the shoulder back to min spec (or smaller)

all Full Length dies will bump the shoulder, how much depends on how you have the die set up.
How far are you currently bumping the shoulder?

I'm guessing something else is at play here.
