What would your ultimate 1,000+ yard rifle be for any North American game? Let's keep it to pack weight so under 13 pounds or so with optics!
a 1000 yards for any game is way out there and i hope you are an expert because its got problems written all over it ! a 1000 yd rifle would be a 6 5x284, 6.5 creedmore, and various 300's such as .308 with 168 gr lr

maybe punchin paper or dingin steel but for 1000 yards huntin I would tote a bit more than those. None of those rifles will have anywhere close to 1000 lbs of energy at 1000 much less than the 1500 needed. I would say that they were only half of what you need JMO:cool:

I'm having matching guns built in 300PRC and 338 Lapua by Mile High Shooting. Defiance Deviant action, AG Composite Alpine Hunter, Rock Creek Barrel carbon fiber wrapped by a friend who has a proprietary process, Timney CE 2 stage trigger, the 300 with a TB break to run suppressed, and APA CIP bottom metal.

Basically this but with different bottom metal and carbon barrel. Oh and this is a manners stock.
