There was a baseball hole through the shoulder and a pencil hole through the body on the exit side. Most of it stayed inside of him. He dashed about 20 yards, stood for a second on 3 legs and piled up. It was late, cold, miserable, and I was alone and a long way from anybody else so I didn't mess around much with pictures. I cut him up and hit the trail.

Where does all that lead go? I have always wondered that because you never find it with a match bullet, if you find anything at all. Does it vaporize? How big of a swath of animal does that vaporized lead end up in? How much beyond the visible wound channel? I shoot these type of bullets at game also but I wanna know where does the lead go.

If you shoot them in the lungs it doesnt matter. If I hit a shoulder I'm going to be careful. No different than any cup and core bullet.

What's your MV on those? Not sure that I'm thrilled with the terminal consistency of the 80.5 gr Bergers in mine running a little north of 3,200fps. These might be worth a try.
