Show off your 277 wildcats

27 Sherman mag is a necked down and "shermanized" 300prc. Mine is an 8 twist and it smoked a bear at 740 yards this spring. I just had a new barrel spun up since my initial test barrel was used on a previous build. Just about to have time to start shooting mine again with some new powders and bullets.

Ok this was not planned lol. My daughter and I where sitting on an old burnt tree log yesterday watching this little piece of bold face side of the hill for wait seemed like a couple hours. Didn't see anything come out and she said she was starting to get cold. So I asked her if she wanted to move up the hill more to warm up? She said yes. As I got up and turn around to get my pack which was laying next to me on the log I just happened to look up and this doe was standing broadside 50 yards from us. I only had time to grab my rifle beings it was right there and she made a hell of a shot with only seconds to get it done before the deer bolted. So proud of this girl. Ps. She said she had to have her rifle in the photo lol 😆.

Well so far we have one mule deer down with the 27 Sherman mag. I ended up going with the maker bullets in a 160gr T-Rex because they where easier to tune. And o my gosh at 225 yards she did a back. I think I found my bullet.View attachment 502024
Those maker t-Rex bullets are very interesting to me. If they shipped to Canada or anyone up here sold them I'd give them a whirl for sure.

You would love them, they where the easiest ones I've used to get to shot. I'm using them in two rifles so far. But after seeing the performance on game, I'm sure there going to be more.
