Rem 260 Berger 130 VLD hunting - is this normal?

Is everyone checking to make sure the tips aren't plugged? I always check if they're plugged. If they are I use to practice and check zero. Maybe I've been lucky, because very few deer go anywhere but straight down.

2,740 fps, it has a 28.5" barrel. Used to be my main F-Class rifle.
Are you stating to get 2740fps from a 130 in a .260 Rem, it must have been a 28.5" barrel?

Because I shoot the 130 OTM @ 2900fps in my 22" 6.5SLR, (which is the same exact case as a .260 Rem w. 30° shoulder/neck of a 6.5x47L, but NOT AI, Shoulder to body junction remains, so actually shortens shoulder).

I used to shoot the 140 HVLD in my 26" .260 Rem @ 2860fps.

he's talking a 185 grain out of a 308 win

When I had a 260, it shot the 130 VLD very well. Went 2 for 2 on my first mule deer/antelope combo hunt 6 yrs ago. I should never have sold that rifle....
