In my case, I traded 215's for some. Gotta do whatcha gotta do.I just want to know where everyone is getting the 156 Bergers, I can't get my hands on any Only lookig for a box or two.

Mine is a 26", but not seeing the velocity of many. In the 2800-2850 range w/ 56gr N565 & 156 Berger 210 primer 3.050" coal. I think I have a slow barrel.I'm caliber shopping if you wouldn't mind posting or PMing barrel length and velocities you're seeing.
Here's my 6.5 Prc 26 in Proof 1-8 twist with N560 -124 gr Hammers cci-200 at 3400 fps 4 shot group and it is consistent my load was worked up too pressure then back off .5 gr I will have too check the load but I think 58.6 grs seated too the second drive band from the tip with a lee crimpWas using the Hammer 124gr. Couldn't quite find a sweet spot. Switched to the Barnes LRX 127gr. Tightened up nicely. Mine likes the RL26 better. The 565 didn't do bad either. Did not like the 568. Now I have almost 2 lb of it sitting in my powder supply. That's the game lol.

That wsm grains seems more inline with the case size than what berger shows for the prc. If I tried to load to their levels I'd smoke primer pockets in 1 firing. I don't how you get 69 grains of extruded powder in that case at 2.955 coal and a 156.6.5 PRC Defiance XM Action- 26" proof Carbon barrel 1:8 twist
60.0 gr H1000 - 3010 COAL 3.2"
Unrelated but I run N560 in my 300 WSM 26" Barrel (1:9 twist
195 Badland Bd-2 69.8 gr N560- 3002 fps
My experience with Berger data is it depends on the day and who sends it to you. I have 3 different sets of data for the 6.5prc from Berger and none of the 3 match the others. Start low and work up especially with their data. That wsm grains seems more inline with the case size than what berger shows for the prc. Agreed. I have a couple too. Don't trust it at all.My experience with Berger data is it depends on the day and who sends it to you. I have 3 different sets of data for the 6.5prc from Berger and none of the 3 match the others. Start low and work up especially with their data.
I took your advice last summer regarding N560 as a replacement for RL26. Spot on. It seems more temp stable and still produces great accuracy with velocity within 10fps in my 6.5 prc. Running 53.5grns with 210gm pushing the 156 at 2930. Great advice and thanks for sharing.Agreed. I have a couple too. Don't trust it at all.

Probably 180-200 rounds thru it. I'd think it is probably about as good as it's going to get. I do have some N560 now to try.Is it broke in?
Yeah bummer. Hate slow barrels unless they are ridiculously accurate.Probably 180-200 rounds thru it. I'd think it is probably about as good as it's going to get. I do have some N560 now to try.
For a factory Bergara, I can't complain much.Yeah bummer. Hate slow barrels unless they are ridiculously accurate.
do you have data for the 153.5 gr target bullet (berger)Here is load data from Berger with various powders including 560, 565, 570
