6.5 PRC with N560 or Retumbo

I run 59 grains of H1000 with Hornady brass and 156 Berger's in my SAC 22 inch barrel. In my 20 inch Proof Barrel I run 55 grains H1000 with 144 Berger and CCi 200 primer. I would start lower and work up but Lapua brass will require less powder to achieve the same velocity as compared to Hornady brass so start lower.
Thanks so much! I'm going to load 143gr ELD-X and also test some 142gr Accubond LR. I was wondering about large rifle primers being able to kick off the higher powder charges in 6.5 PRC; however all the reloading books say use large rifle primers. Only Vihtavouri's website says to use magnum primers with their powder. Thanks for the insight on the Lapua brass.

There are some threads on here with testing of magnum primers in 6.5PRC. I found erratic velocity spreads and pressure signs at low velocity when testing magnum primers. Large rifle primers work best in my rifles and loads.

I'm just having my 6.5 PRC finished up based off a Tikka 300 win mag with a 24inch 1-7.5 twist barrel.
I cannot seem to find any N 565 or H1000 kicking around, and I will not run RL26. There seems to be really good results and lots of info using 565, and H 1000. Has anyone tried N560 or Retumbo with the 156 Berger as I have both of these powders.
What is wrong with RL26 other than availability, my 6.5 PRC loves it!

Vihtivouri N565 and N568 seem to give me good velocities and accuracy with the heavy 6.5 bullets in the 6.5 PRC I only run Lapua brass now with FED 210M.

I've tried h1000 and imr7977 and both work really well from what I'm starting to see the 7977 works better as you work ur load up...had to go to 7977 due to availability of h1000 but I think Ill stick with it
7977 was discontinued, unless something has changed!

I need to find retumbo I'm going to try n565
56.5 N565 156eol 2855 - 25 shot single SD 17 ES. 24" 1-7.5 TW

I was a diehard mag guy. Kept getting erratic es, changed to RLP, major improvement.
Have tested 56.5 N565 to -5 degrees. No issues. Trust what's working for most. LRP.

58 grains of Norma 217 is the most accurate powder in my rifle with the 156. Using Winchester large rifle primers. It beat out H1000, reloader 26 and imr 8133. I'll probably have to find another powder once I use up what I have, as it's unavailable now

I have 560 and it works well. In a 22" it was 2915. It had a similar burn rate as rl26 and that is my go to powder choice by far. I have had excellent results in my prc's using it all year around 0-90f. For me the 560 is a replacement if needed and almost grain for grain.
