Popeye, that has not been my experience (with sporter rigs), I have see it open up groups by more than a 1/2". I agree, not a big difference with a heavy barrel.
I have never tried it, but I will bet money you could not shoot groups in the .100"s with my best BR rig with the bayo attached without adjusting the load!
One of the things we all try to pay attention to is the harmonics of a barrel by adjusting the load to the individual barrel. There are allot of BR shooters that use barrel tuners out on the end of the barrel to change the harmonics. I don't know of a person shooting any of the Rimfire games not using it a tuner that is competitive.
To say that hanging a Chrono Bayo off the end of the barrel does not affect accuracy defies Physics.
All of this stuff is VooDoo in many ways, but like I said above, I try to eliminate as many variables as I can. Remotely mounting the Bayo is one.
As stated earlier by one the posters, some of the effects may be a pressure waive off the bayo, that is possible. But I don't think it is much as changing the harmonics of the barrel.
I could be trading one set of problems for another, we will see. If I find this does not work, I will be the first one to admit it.
After all, the work we put into making our rifles shoot is just experiments, some work, some don't.
