Best of the available 700/clone rifles for 2k or less?

I forgot to answer a portion of your question. I don't have a preference for a specific vintage of 700s. Mine were all built in the 1990s.

Good to know! From what I recall there was a later period where tolerances and QC went haywire and Id for sure like to avoid that. Also something about certain triggers was bad right?

Havent heard much on the new ruger/rems which I suppose is a good thing? If they were crap we'd hear of it?

I replaced all my triggers with Timneys

I would say Seekins Havak PH2 but they have a DBM. If hinged floorplate is a must, Springfield Boundary would be my choice.

Is the magazine on the Seekins replaceable with a flush fit model?

Just looking at the 2020 Boundary, very nice! I cant figure out why its so heavy tho. Almost 7lbs for 22" carbon barrel n stock. Any thots?
