And 78.5 in the middle with two 79 grain groups on the outside.

Did some more shooting today, the pics have load info. I think i will move out to 300 yards with my .041" load and 78.5 grains of H1000 but try to fine tune my powder charge by a hair, i am thinking 78.3, 78.4, 78.5, 78.6, and 78.7 and see how they shoot. I hope i get my magneto speed soon, i cant wait to see what i am running for velocity. gun)

Around .045" off the lands is looking pretty good. I think I would try .060. .070, and even .080" off and see what happens. With a 28" barrel you are probably in the 2900 fps range?.......Rich

I have a 26" tube. I will give .060, .070, and .080 a try, it looks like wednesday should be nice, i will try to shoot them then.

Groups are looking pretty good, especially for a bonded bullet! The 215 Bergers would probably group even better but I understand you are trying to develope the ALR as your hunting load.......rich

I chronoed the 210 ALR on saturday and got 2877 fps from the magnetospeed. That said, i am going to give the 215 hybrids a try, if i can find any before hunting season. Rich, if you could give me some load info via pm for your 215 load, that would be great. BTW the 210 ALR at 2877 tracked perfectly out to 750 yards when i use MMERSS's G7 BC of .318

Give three rounds of Retumbo and RL-25 each a try if you can find someone willing to part with a few grains. Find your best H1000 load and add 1 to 1.5gr for both Retumbo and RL-25. You never know. I've tried this on most of my guns and with two they shot significantly better using RL. Not an issue for me using temperature regression. Shoot the RL on a cool morning if you try some. H1000 is a great powder but with only 6 rounds to add to the mix it may be worth the effort.

If you're finished developing the 210's, try three rounds with Retumbo. Same for the 215's when you get them.

Riley......77-79 grains of H1000 shoots one ragged hole with the 215's in my rifle. Use std br2 or 210 primers. I shot 80 grains a couple of days ago at 3062' but group opened up a little. It will max out at 81 around 3100'.
Retumbo also works well with a little more velocity. I would start the retumbo at 79 grains and you will likely max out around 82-83. You should be able to easily crack 3000' even with your 26" barrel. The 215's have a short bearing surface which will enable you to reach the velocity you can get with a 210......Rich
p.s. I'm trying to send a pic but my computer will not upload the file right now?

Thanks Rich, how far off the lands are you? I have 195 of the 215s headed my way. I have lots of H1000 that i want to use, i am not looking for top velocity but top accuracy.

If I remember corectly, they were right at the lands or just short? (COAL 3.705" ) you have the same chamber so the coal should put you where you want to be......Rich
