I can't keep track! I know there are 6.5's and more interest. Someone up there needs to stock Sherman stuff.Any other Canadians commit to building one?
I agree we need a Canadian guy to stock stuff. I think if there was there would definitely be more of us up here.I can't keep track! I know there are 6.5's and more interest. Someone up there needs to stock Sherman stuff.

Rich, Can I use my already fireformed 6.5SS brass for the 338SS? Neck up & trim if needed? Or would that not be advisable. All the Smith work is completed, now for ceracoating. Hopefully two weeks for completion. 8# of Varget should get me going!
Very nice Steve! Thank you for working so hard with the clients to get what they want. Can't wait to see results on game.View attachment 128788 View attachment 128789 View attachment 128790 Here is some .338 Sherman Short Mag custom ammo that just got finished up to send out to it's home. These are loaded with a new 235g Hammer Hunter at 2840fps from a 24" Proof CF barre. This rifle did not like the 222g version as well. We were able to get the vel higher but was tough on brass and accuracy fell off. In the end we decided that the extra 50fps from the lighter bullet was not worth it. The cartridge seemed to work better with the heavier bullet. May just be this rifle, but efficiency definitely got better when we stepped up the bullet weight. The target pic is at 200y.
I am still amazed that we got this kind of performance from a cartridge only running 66g of Varget. Thanks again Rich!
