March FX 4.5-28X52 Review (So Far)

Thanks for the response Euler and Huntnful, I see the the mod your referring to now and makes sense.

@Huntnful

Would you mind if I were to send the link to Deon Optics, the March Scope people? They can add the link to their website.

I know the people running the show there. I am a non stocking dealer with them. They allowed me to be one when I advised them on the reticle for the 4.5X service rifle scope. They refer to the MTR-D3 as the Nez-san reticle.
Yeah no problem at all 🤙🏼

Nice review. The Combination of weight, size, magnification, low profile turrets, simple zero lock, and glass quality makes March hard to beat. I love my 2.5x25-52 SFP.

I was just out shooting yesterday actually and thought the same thing. Getting behind the FX 4.5-28X52 and my F 3-24X52 is always nice. They are great performing scopes "for the money" even though they are still extremely expensive. I've really tossed around the idea of the ZCO and TT, but can't quite pull the trigger. IDK how they could be $1500-$2500 better. But I'm still always intrigued to try and find out lol. I would totally buy one if they had the EXACT features I was looking for like the March's did.

Works in sub zero temps too. Rode around in the back of the side by side getting bounced to absolute crap for 7 days. Then killed this buck. And then came home and shot a .125 group right where I zeroed it back in September.

Atta boy keep added those beauty marks to it so then when you sell it to me it will ready for my adventures.

You might consider a ScopeCoat instead of caps...helps protect the scope.

Hahaha dude I haven't even thought about selling it yet! I can't bring myself to buy a ZCO 420. This scope just covers all the bases too perfectly for me to change at the moment!

You're totally right. I should protect it a little better. I might start incorporating one

It's decent to good, compared to some other scopes I've used

I might have mistaken you with another poster but have you owned any VX5 or VX6 HD Leupolds? The eye box on those are huge and FOV goes all the way to the edges and no "looking through a paper towel roll" effect.

If so, how does the March FOV and eye box compare to the Leupolds?

Yeah I have owned several VX5's, 6's and Mark 5. Honestly those scopes have very forgiving eyeboxes. More so than the March. The March, to me, is still decent though.

Full image behind the scopes is the same though.

I would say confidently that the forgiving eyebox is the only thing better on the leupolds than the March.

Thanks

I have a Zeiss Conquest V6 3-18 x 50 with ZMOA-2 reticle. I'm really digging the fluoride Schott glass and 103 MOA of elevation on this scope and not sure the March is going to be an almost $800 improvement. The March does look nice though.
