March FX Tactical 4.5x-28x52 via Kahles K525i 5-25x56

Well I was looking for a new scope to put on my new rifle and wanted something better near top end without TT $$. So who did i turn to. Lol Lance of course. DM him and the conversation started. I ended up purchasing a March FX HM 4.5x28x52 with the locking turrets. I can conclusively say this. I own 2 NF ATACR'S. 5x25x56 and a 7x35x56 and the glass on my March is absolutely better. NOT slightly better, absolutely better, definitely better. FOV is so stupid good it's ridiculous. I am gonna be getting another scope soon for a new rifle and it will be the same exact scope I just got. March FX 4.5x28x52. It's just brilliant. Actually made me giggle the first time I looked through it. Its the best hunting scope I own.
I am not sure about the tactical version but if it's glass is the same as the FX HM then absolutely highly recommend.

KAHLES I just don't have any first hand knowledge of.

I don't have either one but I have ZCO and Minox ZP5. This comparison done by Glassaholic on SH to a TT says a lot about how **** good the March is.

First off thanks for your impute and PLEASE keep them coming as what you have shared is helping me shape my choice. As stated before the Steiner H6Xi I brought was very clear and I liked the scope a lot, but somewhat lost my warm fuzzy once it messed up first thing. I have a Zeiss LRP S3 6-36X56 that I really like but it's on my 15lb 6mm xc where it belongs due to it's weight, my Nightforce NXS 8-32X56 is a tank and it's a nice scope but the glass is not what my two Zeiss are the other being a Zeiss Victory T. So I was looking for great glass with reasonable weight. I haven't owned a Kahles but have always wanted one but the weight was a little more than I was looking for. The March is another scope I have always wanted to try and it better suites the weight issues, and the scope will be used for hunting for the most part. Please share if I'm missing something. And please keep the information coming.
Thanks

What are you looking for in terms of max magnification? If you are ok with 15-20x on the upper end it opens up several good options for a hunting optic. Is there a particular weight you're wanting to stay below?

I recently went thru the whole process of finding the right scope for my 7# deer / elk rifle….ended up with NF ATACR 4-16x42. Wanted a bit more magnification of 18-20x range but given the other trade offs I decided I could live with the 16x on the top end.

No idea on March. I have kahles, and though it is not as broadly big as the mark 5, but still pretty popular in the PRS space. Not so much in the "tactical" world.

How is it at first/last light ?

I don't want to throw mud in the water and I know it's on the heavy side as I would like to not go over 32oz are so but how would the Schmidt Bender 5-25x56mm PM II shack up to the Kahles & March? Looking for no more than 25 & maybe 30 power for the max with a low end of 18 power.

This may help as it includes the types of scopes you seem most interested in.
