In the Ear? Really???

Probably could crazy like On my way! Like the body of mine should have that head and that one body could have my horns. Lol. Anyway by chance is that a high fence deer?

You are right snox but Texas has a few nice cull bucks. This was shot a few miles from my house by a good friend of mine. He's quite a bit over 120 lbs.

Holy cow how the hell could you even shoot that. I'd be shaking so bad with bucks fever. That's a big deer even from here. Lol
It is funny how our racks don't do so well up here cause stupid hunting laws, but our deer are massive bodied compared to other parts. I always seemed shock when guides looks at me when I say we regularly shoot deer around 150 lbs dressed out even a decent number over 200 dressed. They think I'm crazy then I have to get out pictures and they are shocked. My favorite photo got lost with my last phone but it was my friend bear hugging his first doe gutted around the waste and it is huge. He is like 230. -240 and 5'11" and looks like he could get inside the doe. I'll have to see if he still has a picture.

I have to laugh when I watch the hunting shows filmed in Texas where the focus is on cull bucks. The bucks that are not suitable for the gene pool in Texas would ones that any hunter in South Carolina would love to have a chance to get.

OK, am back on our own thread.

Schedule for the Packrat over the next couple of weeks is as follows:

Friday, December 4th (tomorrow)- Leaving for El Paso, TX for between 3-5 days visiting friends and in particular, a widow lady that I've known for years that wants me to stop by. Hmmmmmmm............Not sure I'm ready for this yet, but she is a friend, so may not be what she seems to be implying.
Limited posting. Mainly late at night.

When I return to Tuscon, will be preparing for Hog hunt Southwest of San Antonio from the 17th to the 22nd +/-. There is no internet at the ranch, so will not be able to post. Hopefully, will be able to post some pictures afterwards.

Should be back in Tucson area by Xmas. Schedule is open after that. In January am thinking about another extended trip to Texas, but not sure right now. Depends on circumstances.

Finally starting to get my feet back on the ground with all that went before.

Been a rough 4 months.

the ground was soft from recent rains and i could move about quietly. the herd was too big to count and bodies ran together like a wall of pork. there were so many i took an extra mag, expecting the kill to go into overtime.

of course, there was one boar standing in the way of getting within good killing range. with the wind and standing water there was no way around him. i dumped him with authority but could only safely kill one other with all the deer running around. i'll eventually catch them off guard.

so basically you took the high road and left me to defend your honor... which ain't all that easy. well i think i handled the douche nozzle. wait a minute, that didn't come out right. at any rate, he got a subtle yet well deserved GFY.

Pretty sure you were handling a nozzle just not a douche. Probably cogs nozzle since. That is until the rat makes it back down for some "extended stay".
