Blackhole bullets 25cal

Fifty driver did a 338 rum based wildcat in the early 2000s that shot a boutique 150+grain bullet. Was popular on here probably circa 06 or 07, bullet co went away and so did the need for 100grain 25 cal wildcats. Wonder what twist he used to keep them together and still stabilize.
Probably the twist he uses on his 257 A.M.

I think at the time he was playing with 7 and 7.5 twist and various rifling cuts to see what could hold up. Memory is hazy and my phone Google fu is weak.

Not to derail or hijack this thread but Hornady has a 134gr 257 bullet on the website. No telling when it will come out. I'd definitely be interested to see what a 25x7prc would do with the 145ers! It would make for a heck of a mule deer, audad, western whitetail cartridge.
I'm getting 3200 + out of my 257 Blackbird with the 145gr which is a tad bigger case then the 7prc.

I'm getting over 3200 fps out of a 257 wby mag. It's a 26" 1-7.5" twist and has under 1/2" groups with 68 gr. I'm currently trying different powders. But I might stick with this as I'm burning bullets for little to no improvements.

Hows the temp stability on 7828ssc?
I did load development at 60 degree and hunted at 40-90 degrees. It's been good so far but on the upper level where I put max I had loose pockets at 90 degree temps. Which is the reason I'm trying different powders but honestly I would be happy with my current load at 68 grains @ under 1/2" and 3200 fps. This bullet flat out kills and not as explosive as a Berger but still leaves a big wide wound channel.

Where I hunt I almost need a winter and summer load just because it can get up to 120° in August. But instead of trying to hunt when its that hot im usually at the lake lol. If I dial it back to be safe in the summer then I'm leaving performance on the table in the winter with a lot of slow burning powders. Retumbo has been the best so far. If I was getting 1/2moa and 3200fps with a 145gr bullet I'd definitely be happy. I found a node at 3070fps in my 25-06 with 115vld's and just kinda stopped there.

I remember reading about that in college before I had the $$ to get into this hobby. I think the bullet company was 'Wildcat Bullets'. They made a somewhat popular 7mm 200gr bullet too. The bullets look very similar to the chinchaga bullet that was posted above. Wouldn't be surprised if they're related or the same company.

Bumping the thread up for any load data or terminal performance for the 145 .257's
I'll be loading them in a 25 creedmoor, just received a shipment of 500 from Blaine. The barrel just went out for chambering so I can only dream about load development for a couple months. Black holes on the left and my dummy round berger 133 EH on the right.

Hopefully I will be testing them out on a mule deer doe this weekend.
