If anyone is still wondering about the 180gr ELD-M in the last two years since i've had my 7 SS i've taken 5 white tail with it. Four Does ranging from 338-525, and today this buck at 640yds. Double lung through and through no recovery. It simply works on whitetail. As a disclaimer sometimes it doesn't product DRT but i've yet to have one run over 50yds. The two I've taken this year (doe at 523yds, buck at 640) both didn't seem hit that well truthfully on reaction. But neither ran very far and the results were devastating.

Will, awesome buck and great realistic report. All too often anymore people seem to think that a bullet isn't doing it's job when something doesn't hit the deck immediately. Clearly, the 180 ELD-M looks like it's extremely effective. How could anyone not be happy with that wound? The 7SS is a great short action round. I love mine, too.

Well since I last posted asking about a gunsmith for the 7SS I was living in Utah, now I'm in Missoula and wondering about which smith I should look up in MT for my build? I just scored 10lbs of RL26 and 180gr 7mm Berger VLDH's delivered today! If anyone has recommendations I'd greatly appreciate it being new to the area.

what is trimming like on these cases? I use an le Wilson trimmer, wondering if there is a cartridge holder they stock that I should pick up for 7SS or if there won't be a need to trim.

Trim is infrequent. Not sure if Wilson has whatcyou need or not?
Ive had clients that mentioned them.

I was looking into a 6.5PRC and found this site. I load for 280Rem, 7mm-08 and 7mm Rem Mag and have a large supply of 7mm bullets so this is intriguing. Can anyone give me contact info for a gunsmith that could build one of these in left handed configuration? I have contacted MPA about me renting the reamer and having them do the job for me, but crickets. I do have a LH Savage 110 (SA) in 6.5 CM that I was going to offer up as a base for the MPA build.

Wilson will make you a custom holder. Cheap and quick for my blaser improved.

The website has brass and HORNADY custom bushing dies. just click on the HORNADY logo and select max option
Bass is under separate head stamp

Been to that site. I dont see a Hornady logo. I do see the option to choose Hornady dies, but wanted the Whiddens I see listed on FB. Additionally, right or wrong, the below pics are how I navigated your website. I see no 7SS BRASS. ??? can you send a link directly to the brass, please?
