Convinced i might have lube in the chamber at this point. Primers look great. But getting stiff bolt lift and ejector marks. Even with 59.8gr. 60gr gave a 4.6SD today too. Going to clean when i get home but definitely not convinced it's the charge.

Wiped the chamber chamber down and brass no pressure signs at 59.8gr, a little at 60.0, 60.2gr still giving heavy bolt lift. I just ran with 59.8gr with the kestrel out to 600yds at the range. It was spot on. Ranged this one at 378yds she folded 180gr ELD-M passed through destroying the heart and lungs. Love this setup. Gotta stretch it out a little further on a bigger doe or buck. She was a meek 90lbs if that but i needed meat too as I've got to go back Monday.

I have one .284 1:8.4 24" saum that's a dandy. I am sending one back to them to investigate the bore and groove diameters.

Have you thought of working with Defensive Edge and their +p barrel throat? Could help curve the pressure a bit and possibly pick up some more speed. Shawn is a great guy to talk to.
Ohhhh you could call it the Shermanator, lol.
His terminator calibers are definitely cool.

Ya, anybody can have problems and Im not bad mouthing because as far as I know, they've gone good for the bad ones. That said, we've had 6-7 which have pressured up early with no velocity. At least a couple had narrowing in the middle. Internal bulge. My guess is its from a wrapping problem, but im certainly no expert!

So it just varies barrel to barrel in my experience. A buddy of mine has a proof 6.5 saum putting 142gr smks out at 3200fps with prime which is nuts.

Went back out today took a big doe at 525yds with the 7SS. I couldn't be more fond of this rifle. Incredibly accurate, pleasant to shoot, and most of all pretty light. Hit her right through part of the shoulder slightly behind through and through. She ran maybe 20yds. 2900fps with this particular round just caries some serious oomph. Kind of shocked it hit bone and still punched through
