Do you have the .188 free bore? I do and was just curious. I am using 57.5 H1000. I might have a little wiggle room on charge but not much. My gun seems to show pressure earlier than most I think.

I have a PRC barreled action on the way from Advanced Weapons Technologies LLC in Kentucky. Don builds some very fine pistols and rifles. I am hoping to try the Sierra 130 for hunting in it. Thinking 3200 fps should be doable in a 24" with the 130 Gamechangers.

I have a 24" barrel in my Mesa 6.5 PRC. I get right at 3200 fps with the 130 gr. Gamechanger. Had a .375 3 shot group. 55.5 grains of 7828ssc. .010 off the lands. Shot a Satterlee load test and picked a node. Haven't even refined the load yet, it just shot that well with the first group.

Brent, what is your CBTO. I am at 2.207 now. I think I had my overall length measured wrong. I am more like 2.950 COAL.

Brent, what is your CBTO. I am at 2.207 now. I think I had my overall length measured wrong. I am more like 2.950 COAL.

My CBTO measures 2.310 with a Hornady 25 cal comparator insert. I've also noticed substantial OAL difference between bullet lots. My first lot of 140s came in at 2.945 to 2.950 OAL with the same CBTO measurement. My new lots are between 2.960 and 2.965 OAL.

That's why I asked. Noticed my oal length changed with the same CBTO seating depth. Thought I was loosing my mind. I wonder if my groups will change if I seat to same cbto? Any experience with that?

Your groups generally won't change if you keep the same CBTO measurement.

Where do you get the brass for PRC these days? Hornady has item # for it, but stocks are empy...

ADG, Bertram, and Gunwerks are alternatives. One of the three generally have cases in stock.
