375 EnABELR Build

Pierce 10x action in Cadex chassis, (like mag set up and chassis is built well) KS barrel 36" 1-7. I may go shorter but we'll see. Few ppl have said the 36" is nice. I'm considering the can route on it too so maybe shorter. I was looking hard at structured but for 2000$ I'll pass.
I want to put a tuner behind my suppressor on the next barrel.

Not sure the science is settled on structured barrels.

Now that the reamer is headed to the house I figured I would start this thread. This will be a ground squirrel hunting rig, launching the badlands 365 and 390 grain Super Bulldozer-2's.

Approaching a year next month on my suppressor. So much for 90'day e-forms.

Second barrel is on the way to the house, and reloading components and dies are sitting in the office.

Cartridge: 375 EnABELR
Action: 1.6" Stiller TAC Driver, .640" bolt face, 40 MOA rail.
Barrel: 30" 1:8 twist K&P 1.35" straight contour
Trigger: Triggertech Diamond
Scope: 😬
Chassis: Mirage ULR
Bipod: Still undecided. Maybe the elite iron revolution.
Suppressor: Elite Iron 375 Asset

375 EnABELR with a 390 grain SBD2 next to a 458 SOCOM case.

I'd have to ask Rob Vestal, not sure. But I have one of the very early Whidden die sets from AB as well. So hoping no issues, but only have 7 rounds fired so far from 116g to 124g 24N41 and Berger 407s. I've got more loaded to work up to 132g. But none of the fired brass has grown much yet; but haven't pushed it either.

I have an earlier Whidden die and a newer one.

Forester is also making 375 EnABELR dies. The specs I got from them are much closer to what I would like on my sizing die. I had already ordered a sizing reamer from JGS when I inquired about the specs on their sizing die.

Whidden had a history of manufacturing resizing dies too large in diameter at the base, resulting in chamber interference after the case web fully forms over multiple shots fired. Which surprised me. They manufactured 3 resizing dies for my 338 Rogue ~8yrs ago in the effort to provide a die that would adequately size down my case webs. All 3 dies were exactly the same diameter, as far as I could tell and measure. And none ever did resize case webs adequately. This occured in spite of my communications informing their machinist their dies needed a smaller base diameter. I finally gave up.

Rich Sherman experienced the same thing with Whidden resizing dies and ultimately contracted with another die manufacturer for his Sherman line of cartridges.

I have no recent experiences with Whidden resizing dies. So this problem may or may not have been resolved...
