I have been trying to get a 33XC up and running. Had one shooting really well sending 300 grain Bergers at 3150 out of a 26" barrel with a very comfortable load. The rifle weighed 11.6 pounds bare and I wanted it lighter so sent the barrel off to a company to get carbon wrapped. It came back 2 pounds lighter but unsafe to use. They started the carbon wrap too far back over the chamber. Last I heard (over a month back) was they were gonna replace the barrel, haven't heard back. Looks like I'll have to order a new barrel for my birthday next week...what a waist! My reamer, dies, and brass are getting lonely.😞. Waisted probably a year on this too.

Nothing fancy with this over the counter Savage 110 FCP. It has a 20 MOA rail. The scope is a Nightforce 5.5X22X56 NSX. I have a backpack style sling from the Longrange store.
Which muzzle brake is that, does it come in stainless or a matte stainless glass bead finish? Very nice. Building 338edge on savage 110. Work in progress.

Here Is one of the 338 Texans that I designed and built, A very good friend has One and he wanted to build the stock Himself. Here is the post that describes the rifle and the test results.
Go back to post #1 of this link for some reason it wants to open farther down.

My intention was to push a 300 grain bullet over 3000 ft/sec with lower pressure (62,000) Jayson pushed it to over 3,100+ with no real pressure signs. I have my own and when I find the pictures I will post them. Another friend that lives in Florida, also has one.

That is the factory Savage brake, I have a couple extra laying around if you want one.
The company I sent my barrel to to be carbon wrapped also did me the luxury of sending me one of their muzzle brakes (even though I didn't order one) and charged me an extra $100 for it. If you want it I'll make you a heck of a deal. It's a nice looking brake and from the design probably pretty good, better than the factory Savage.
