I have a box of those. I think the feds outlawed them because they are untraceable-could be wrong on that. Accuracy was 3" at 100 yds or so

Thanks guys for all the comments. I Know shooting them you really couldn't tell that much of a difference in the recoil in them and the 100+ grain rounds he normally shoots. Out of a BAR there really isn't much recoil anyways.

3-15x42 SWFA Scope.
45MOA base.
Stock was what came with the Savage 112 .338 Lapua magnum.
Factory muzzle brake.

Shoots the 230 SMK @ 3360 with H50BMG going to try some US869 and see what happens.

Look at the round. 30-06 with 215 Berger for comparison Then the 300BSM with a 230 Berger then 230 SMK then a fully fire formed shell.

A buddy had about 10 of them. Has anyone else seen or shot these before? If so what where the used for why where they made. Thanks for any info you all can give.

That, my friend is a Remington 30-06 Accelerator. They were popular(sort of) with varmint hunters in the 70's. It is a factory round designed to compete with the 243 and other smaller rounds of the day. They were not very accurate.

I think there come a point of diminishing returns with that large of a case. The 7-338LMAI can get 3350-3400 with the 195 with 30" barrels

Hi there people thank very much for your replies. I'd like to ask a question if you don't mind. There's a lot of interesting stuff on here. I've heard about some interesting cartridges in my time. I would like to ask what is the biggest capacity cartridges anyone that has experimented with in these bore sizes here goes 6-5 bore 7mm bore and 30 bore I know most of these cases won't be practical or next to useless I know there is a limit to bore sizes I thought this would be an interesting question for you Any info or pics will be very appreciated all the best

Thanks for your reply i've read about the 300 Raptor on here a few times Should be superfast with 34 inch barrel with the right twist What's the case capacity of the 300 raptor if you don't mind me asking
