300 Win Mag ELD-X load testing?

300 win mag 26 inch Brux, 212 eldx 77.5 grains H1000, average 2945, es 18, .195 moa. I shot as high as 78.5 but only picked up to 2959 and started to see some pressure. I will take it out to 600 tomorrow and see if it holds that accuracy.

77.5 is right about where the node should be. Good work. What brass?

For 200 ELD-X
73-76 grs RL26 is ideal. 3000 fps should be very easy to attain.
Retumbo is too slow for this bullet weight
H1000 is better with 210 or heavier

My understanding is that R26 is as slow, if not slower burning then Retumbo. I have gotten excellent accuracy/ES and a complete burn with 2900FPS out of my 24" 300WM using Retumbo with the 200gr ELD-X.

It is my understanding that it is faster than H-1000. I've never seen it on a burn chart stating that just from what i've read from people using it. I'll be using RL26 in my 300 Sherman (270 blown out and SI, necked up to 30 cal) to send 200-215g bullets over 3000 fps & 225gr 2850-2900 fps. With less than 70gr of powder it would have to be faster than H-1000 to achieve those velocities... at least i would think.

I've seen this quickload quote. It was for 264 wm, some powder characteristics might vary slightly by case/cartridge variation .
