280AI 22" vs 24" barrel

It is for suppressor use. I am expecting to loose ~100fps. Cutting 6" will loose ~140fps, but shorter barrels will gain back ~20-40fps with suppressor. Oal of rifle with 18" barrel and suppressor should be a bit shorter than previous 24" with brake and balance should not be to much different.

I assumed it was for a suppressor. I can't do the 26 inch barrel plus a suppressor it's just too much length for me. I could tolerate 140+- a few for a suppressor.

Old thread. But I went with a 23" IBI CF with a 1-7.5" twist. Running 140 AH with H100V. My Petersen brass seems to show pressure so I'm not running as much powder as most guys. I'm at 60 gr right now and still over 3300 FPS. 280 AI is a great round.
