What a pig! Outstanding.

That's what I thought!! When we walked up to him from about 25 yards away I could tell he was easily the biggest bodied deer I'd ever killed. He was Heavy!!

Only a 2-1/2 mile pack out, but 2,200' elevation gain and for whatever reason, Really taxing! I've had numerous elk pack outs (2-trippers) with a friend that were longer, but this one-trip buck seemed heavier for some reason.

Thank you! I feel super blessed. I almost never see buck, let alone big guys, and to have him walk within 20 yards of me on a property I've only hunted once before... Just incredible . Might do a write up in a bit. I like to do that so I can look back on the hunt later

Hadn't happened yet and probably won't until I quit waking up so early and getting so far away from camp.
