Rifle season is in the rear view. Tag filled in Oklahoma. I should have been a little more patient, and held out for my target buck. But it's hard to pass up a buck with these cool double brow tines. I'll survive. Hehe.

Filled my SD tag this weekend. He's not my biggest buck, but tall with lots of character. Suppressed .300WM with 180 Accubond anchored him at 237 yards. Full freezer and another great hunt in the books!

I like him!! Cool buck

Nice bull! We haven't even seen an elk yet this year - well except on the highway going to a from hunting.

The weekend before we saw two bulls about this size, one was on the wrong side of the road and if he would have been bigger I might have kept an eye on him because he was heading twards the right side.
We pickt this guy up crossing the road in front of us 10 minutes before legal light.put the first bullet in him 1.5 miles and 3/4 hour later. Put the last bullet in him about where we expected to see him in the first place?
With a pinned leg and wrecked shoulder on my 59 year old frame a road is a good place to start and better place to finish.
Put the winch cable over the roll bar so even loading him was a breeze

I brought it down to the LAST minute of the LAST DAY of modern firearms season here in Kentucky tonight. My .300 Win Mag, Trijicon Ten Mile and Berger 215 put the big 10-pt down in his tracks!!
