I made a 30-223 just to use up components....works very well,and leans itself well to sound .moderation....

True that my 284win could become à 6.5x284 but she is still low round true the barrel.
The 7mm mag is my hunting rifle and she is going to be a 7mm mag again... Got load of stuff for her.

The idea of 300wisper is good, nerver think going that way... Will look at it.

My mind go realy for a 6mm rifle, just dont know wich one

For purely target shooting, 6BR, 6BRA, 6 Dasher, or any other 6BR wildcats will be the ticket. They shoot SMALL, stay in tune, and they're not expensive to shoot once you have the components and anybody can handle them.

That why im looking for a 6mm and I dont have à rifle in that catégorie

That idea of the 300 whisper really intrigues me too....i shot one a few times...20" barrel...no recoil...not a cracking rifle but more like a 20 gauge shotgun......a the old boy that had it made was using 7br brass..and something like 11gr of powder.......300gr bullet....
Anyone can shoot it......biggest part of the cartridge was the bullet.....

260AI or the straight 260. If you go to 6mm then the 6mm Creed might be a better option over the 243 due to the case design. Make it a tight twist barrel on either and shoot heavies.

The strait 260 is on my list fore sure, I like that classic. With the right twist toi can push those heavy bullet easy.

The 6mm is my first idea but the 260 is à great option

Im looking to have a new built on a rem 700 short action that I got.
Rifle will ne use for 600yrds range target.

Have a 284win, 7mm rem mag, 7mmm08, 2 308, one will give is action.

As you see im a 7mm fan and with the rem mag im well equiped for long range hunting.

I do think solding one 308 and go full custom but I like to use what I got at home.

Im looking at the 6mm dasher but im open to any idea.

I dont mind single feeding my rifle.

6mm gt or creedmoor take a look at the numbers just my opinion low recoil and will shoot out to 1000 the problem is getting bullets I can get 7mm bullets but 6mm requires a lot of shopping

Use the "KISS" method. KEEP IT SUMPLE STUPID. 243 WIN . John Whidden seems to shoot it well

I seem to have several of the rifles suggested. Really like the 260. The suggestion that surprised me the most was the 250AI. Personally, I love it but across the board it doesn't seem to get a lot of notoriety and I don't know why. For 600 yards or less and with the right twist barrel, it's a honey to shoot and can be extremely accurate.
