Tell me what you see…

Prone and from a bipod.
thats a stable enough position.

I only have 1 PSA rifle but IMO you should get no more than 2moa from a PSA barrel or they wouldnt be popular enough to sell so many even for a budget AR.
What trigger are you using?

The only thing I can recommend is try several different brands of ammo best suited for your twist rate and see if it finds one it likes. If it doesnt, sell it.

Rise Armament w/ a 3.5 lbs pull weight. It's nice. 👍
nice, your no rookie you know how to shoot.
It could be the way it was assembled, maybe someone who builds ARs can chime in on the upper build.

Otherwise, test some different factory ammo. Maybe thoroughly clean the barrel and check the crown...
FWIW One of the absolute worst groups I got was with some expensive Nosler "premium" ammo that grouped like yours... been there. But then some cheap 223 factory bulk ammo grouped nice.

I also have a Grendel that gets 1.2 moa with my handload and started hunting deer with it. Its not a PSA though. Its a great round and really fun in an AR, but if you want it to hunt with you gotta find a load that gets 1.5 or better preferably 1moa.

Good on ya for not selling something you know is bad. Not certain what it would take to turn a poor build into something accurate or if its worth it.

I'll put another brand or two of ammo through it, but I'm not gonna expect much after what the borescope showed. I've got the "online order form" for X-Caliber already filled out. 😐
well that escalated quickly... :p

If I had known the Grendel was so much fun to shoot in an AR I would have gone the custom high end route. Im pretty happy with mine though and suspect it shoots better than I do I'm just still fairly new to handloading and haven't fired any factory ammo in mine yet.

Hey folks! Tell me what you think you see in these photos regarding the inside of the barrel. The only info I'll give initially is that this is an 18" 6.5 Grendel barrel from Palmetto State Armory. If the quality of the pics makes it difficult I apologize…..I was taking pics of the screen images with my cell phone. The FIRST pic is the throat…

Are you a DR? looks like you are giving an exam with those gloves on!

We have a friend that bought a 6.8II from PSA on sale. He had four different types of AMMO. This Thread.
He brought it through us (FFL) and was shooting on our range in the back yard. He would not listen to me about a "BreakIn" or cool down between shots. I had it when it was cold, cleaned and shot a Half Dollar at 100 yds. He on the other hand was shooting rapid fire semi auto and getting groups like posted in #22.
Not saying that your firearm was not broke in and then fired properly.
We see this all the time where someone gets a SBR or AR and wants to get sub <0.5" accuracy.
We have bought and built some 0.33" MOA .223 ARs for Predator & Varmint hunting!
Personally, we would not build/own an AR unless they had a 0.50" MOA or BETTER.

😂🤣 Yeah, I haven't hit the "submit order" button yet, but I'm sure I will before it's all said and done.
Hit it and be done with it. But then you have to assemble the upper.
Before you hit send, check out Grendelhunter. Where I bought my upper complete. They use Satern barrels, I read mixed reviews on them but better than PSA. I get 1moa with mine.

I already have actually. My gunsmith recommended an X-Caliber barrel (because of his experience with them), but I'm not familiar with them. I priced one through Lilja and McGowen, but dang they're proud of their prices!😂🤣

Yeah, I have no idea. I bought it with allegedly 100 rounds on it. I can't help but be somewhat skeptical…😐

Nah, I'd be happy with 1.0 -1.5 moa from a gas gun. I wouldn't think that's asking too much.
