7mm wsm all the way. Less kick than its Remington long action brother and more get up and go per grain of powder in my reloading experience. Have always liked the short magnums. Winchester knows what its doing.

I may just be odd but i want to pump up my 7.62x54r. Found some load data pushing 180 gr at almost 3k out of the 28.75" barrel m91/30. Maybe get some Sierra hot cores or something see wbat can be made of that round at range. Thats possible humor

Better yet is take a 50-140 Sharps and neck it to a 22 cal to shoot the 35 gr Hornady VMAX!

Sorry meant to say speer hot core. Or use sierra gameking, that sharps necked down would be the hammer of thor. Especially with a vmax round, like being hit with grenade. Wouldn't be much left of a varmint

Since I originally posted I was going to get a 300 WSM.. I have bought and sold a few guns. I have sold a 300 WM, a 17 Rem, a 30-06, a 270 Win, and a 308 Win. I have bought another 300 WM, a 22-250 and a 375 H&H.. *** was I thinking?
All of these rifles I have acquired have been tac-driving machines. Anyone know when I will be able to buy some 300 WM brass? I sold the brass I had with the 300WM I sold.. my bad! Not one of my shops has this caliber in new or once fired brass.. I have a gun without anything to shoot in it. I feel about as stupid as I ever have now.

Well I changed my mind I just want a gun that shootsgun) preferably a savage LA, that some day will become a 280 AI. Out of the list I would go with a 300 WM or 300 WSM in a LA.
