???Make The creedmoor great again
It no longer makes the BBBRRRAAAAPPPP sound that strikes fear into the enemy.I see that the new A10 warthog uses the 6.5 Creedmoor now!
I am late in the game, but mine only cost me $20 (https://www.longrangehunting.com/threads/i-got-my-first-6-5-cm-for-20.201958/), and I have harvested a few deer. That's right, I birddog 68 shoot a sissy rifle. Not just any sissy rifle but a 6.5 creedmoor, the queen of sissies.
As of '24, was in use by USSOCOM in their sniper systems, particularly the M110 . I guess the long range ballistics were hard to ignore.Never needed a 6.5 creed in the jungles or battlefield. 7.62 and 5 56 worked just fine. But if needed a 1500 yd. shot I guess we could have needed a Needmore Happy New Year brothers.
From what I have read on this thread, all you need is some RL26. Very impressive velocity from this cartridge!I was impressed to see my 6.5 Creed has more energy at 200 yds than my 45-70. If I can't effectively take deer and elk with 6.5 Creed then I need to sell my gun and find a new hobby.
Maybe Hornady will come out with an Ackley Improved version that holds 1.5 gr more powder
I have yet to handload for it since 2018. I am still using factory ammo (I purchased a few boxes with the same lot#).From what I have read on this thread, all you need is some RL26. Very impressive velocity from this cartridge!
Of course I don't have any RL26 so I will be happy with the 2750ish fps I am getting now.
So what you're saying is this is your go to rifle that gets shot often?I have yet to handload for it since 2018. I am still using factory ammo (I purchased a few boxes with the same lot#).
