Just get some hammer hunters and you can hike in sandals too
Sandals will go nicely with the yoga pants mentioned earlier.Just get some hammer hunters and you can hike in sandals too
On her first trip she used the 85gr Hammer Hunter and the (at that time) prototype 118gr Hammer HHT. This year she used the 112gr Hammer HHT.
The high sectional density and ballistic coefficient of the 140 gr. bullets make the 6.5 shoot above its weight class. Fighting in the woods, the Germans and Russians would hide behind trees. I don't believe most trees were big enough to stop the 6.5 FMJ.
Maybe a young growth forest?
I'm sitting here wondering who even makes and sells a 6.5 FMJ. And one that logs entire forests with it's unbelievable penetrating power.Maybe a young growth forest?
After seeing this, I'm really fighting the urge to cave!Who doesn't like a cartridge in a off the shelf rifle to shoot like this?View attachment 628745
That picture was with minimal work up with 140 BT. This picture below is with first hand loads of 140 ELDM. I switched powder's to get a bit better velocity afterwards. After seeing this, I'm really fighting the urge to cave!
I meant ballistically speaking.6.5 Creedmoor is in many respects wasted until you go over 600 or so yards and out.
I know you love to turkey hunt Gundog so I have to ask if you are still using a 10 gauge or a 12 with 3.5" shells? I dropped down to a 20 gauge with 3" TSS and couldn't be happier with the results. Many love the 410 with TSS.I am a bigger is better kinda guy...
Specifically pronghorn antelope. You don't need a 300 Uber mag to kill things ethically.
Again, we are talking about normal people hunting with normal rifles. I understand this blog is called Long Range Hunting, but the 270 as well as the 6.8 Western kick the butt of the 6.5 CM all the way across the hay-field at normal long range hunting distances. To my humble way of thinking, no ethical hunter should shoot at any game animal beyond 300 yards, and never beyond 600 yards. And at 1k the CM is hitting harder than the mighty 270 Win. Higher sectional density & BC with the same weight projo. Not sure why I'm defending it either.
Well, there are a lot of things that are sissy or other types of derogatory terms used by many. Being a woman I already qualify as sissified by a lot of men, so be it. I do have to agree that a man bun is sissified, but the ability to grow a beard does not make you a man either. I will admit that my thoughts are somewhat pre ordained since I spent 30 years in the Army. I do not find men with long hair or beards, especially long scraggly, unkempt hair or beards as being particularly manly. There are, however, women that do. The attached internet photo shows my thoughts on what is acceptable as a manly hair, and beard if one absolutely needs to have a beard.
