Who is still shooting 300 Win Mag

I'm curious to see who is all still shooting your 300 Win Mag. I have a 300 Win Mag 26" bull carbon fiber barrel. I will hopefully be shooting this weekend with factory ammo till I get some Peterson long brass. What your go to bullets over 200gr preferred?
Two local guys who have shot elk love the Berger 210

I prefer the 174 HH to 200+ grain bullets because I don't intend to shoot over 500 yds. Will be hunting first rifle elk in WY in 20 days using my suppressed T3X 174 HH, Peterson longs and 76.5 H4350 @ 3250 fps. Can hardly wait!

Hornady 208's and 212's.....I load them for 3 friends I have hunted with for years... they love them and I use them in 4- 300 Weatherby's

the 300WM. Favorite hunting load is 196HH over 77 grains of N560 running 3001 fps. I have since had the barrel cut back from 24" to 22" to eliminate mag-na-ports and thread for suppressor use. Expect to run around 2930 fps suppressed.

Have 5 of them... remington 700, model 70, benelli semi-auto, TC, Ruger No. 1. Have various loads from 130 grainers for coyotes up to 200 grainers. 98% of time though it's a 180 TTSX being used.

I dont want to turn this into a 300winmag reloading thread, but since we've got so many 300winmag fans in here, quick question. I've got a friend's 700 5r here, in you guessed it, 300winmag, and he wants to shoot the 178 eld-x. Couldn't find any factory ammo anywhere so we picked up 100 bullets and I'm going to roll a few for him to try.

I've got h4350 and some h1000. I think I'm going to try h4350 first and save my h1k.

Anybody got a load close to this combo that seems to work across multiple rifles? Maybe I'll get lucky and we can short circuit the process. If not I'll start in the middle and go from there like I normally do. I'm going to measure his chamber and see what his max oal is. Rifle has some time on it.

Normally I'd load 75gr of 7828 with a cci 250 and run with it. I've loaded that combo in several rifles and it's worked well. But 7828 is in short supply these days and my stock is limited.

26" bartlein heavy palma by black canyon customs. 700 reciever, trued by JeCustom, in a krg bravo, topped with an old gen1 6-24 viper pst. Shoots 215's at 2930 with h1000 at sea level.

I'm still using my # 1 that I purchased in 1996. 12 moose, 5 Elk, a Stone sheep and counting, never used more than one shot.

I have a Sako S20 300 win. I am feeding it 208gr Berger LRTH and 208gr Hornady ELDM.

It likes them over H1000 and IMR7827SSC. Nosler cases for now, but have Lapua that I am transitioning to.

The picture is a 4rd group with the 208gr ELDM over 7828 if I remember right.

The 11 twist will stabilize those bullets? Good to know!!

Not 178 ELDX … but 180 grain Nosler Partitions run easily around 2950 with H4350 and CCI 200 in my 24" Wilson 10 twist
I'd have to look at my load data to give exact recipe.
So… H4350 should work well with your 178's.

H-1000. @75.+ gr. LRM Primers 180 gr SST, or similar pill.
I'm running a little higher # in powder but! Work up!
