Hello everyone. I was hoping to get a borescope to check out some of my bores more closely. All the ones I found have an 8mm camera end except one I found one on amazon that claims a 6.5mm.
Any of you that use one have recommendations? I want to be able to go into 223 and up.
Thx

I do not recommend buying your first bore scope. Right now, you probably enjoy just shooting and then cleaning your firearms. Once you buy a bore scope you will spend all of your free time scrubbing out the carbon that you never knew was caked on all over the place. Some things are better off "not known".

I have some rifles that I bought used and have personally put at least a thousand rounds thru over the years. No telling how many were fired before I bought them. I want to have a good look at them.

Honestly, I think I want a bore scope, and have wanted one for years. But I have seen similar post to this and they have really made me think about it. So I have resisted from buying in large part because of this.

I could see myself looking in every barrel I have. Including guns that are performing very well, then cleaning, scrubbing, buying additional products to make it "better" only to have to "refoul" it, to get it to shoot like it was before I started.

But on the other hand there is also "that" rifle I have the hardest time trying to get it to shoot to an acceptable level for me, I would like to take a peek inside to see if I can identify an issue.

Be Safe,
