Pre-64 264 Win Mag with 130 accubonds.

There is nothing like a pre-64 Winchester! My 30-06 also shoots great with 165 Accubonds. I've owned it forever and will never part with it.

I love this thread. My favorite deer rifle is my Steyr prohunter in 308. My wife surprised me with it about 12 years ago. I topped it with a Zeiss conquest and I have taken several deer with it. Runner up is a stainless synthetic Rem model seven in 7mm-08. I gave it to my son after he killed his first deer with it. I really like the 7mm-08 and I will own another one some day.

The 30/06 gets it done. I have a Browning A Bolt 2 Stalker and the only thing I did to it was put a Nikon scope on it years ago and I couldn't begin to tell ya how many deer I've killed with it, but I can tell ya this I never had to shoot one twice.

Usually I carry my Tikka 300wsm with nxs 2.5-10 compact shooting 215 hybrids loaded out almost to the lands. This year's just so happened to take the gun I had set up for my daughter years ago. Browning a bolt 243 wssm. 95 gr. CT. Ballistic tip. Has always done the job on pa whitetails!

I have a 30-06 transition that loves the 165 TSX over 47.5 of IMR 4064 - Taken many deer with that gun. Huge Pre 64 fan here too!
