Yes, but not at a traditional range.Did you read the part at the end of the article where he said he would recommend something faster than a creedmoor for 1 mile stuff? Have you ever shot a mile before? Just curious
Yes, I did. But those with comprehension issues are only going to read "The 6.5CM is a 1 mile rifle"... And then the rumors start.Im curious did you actually read the article ? Obviously not, its just easier to bitch and moan and call everyone an idiot, I will give you credit for one thing, you are consistent in your rants...........

That's because you know I'm not wrong.Lol now that's funny !
I guess I dont follow what that means? I guess mine isnt necessarily a traditional range because I shoot on private land if that's what you mean?Yes, but not at a traditional range.
No, Mud is not wrong. The 6.5CM is a good cartridge, but there are folks claiming it is more than it really is. There are folks that say it is a 1000 yd elk cartridge, and more powerful than a 300 mag @ 1000 yds. Neither are true. It is possible to kill an elk with it that far. This does not make it suitable. It is possible to shoot it accurately at a mile under the right conditions with the right bullet. That does not make it a mile cartridge. If it was, there would be little need for the big .375's and up for ELR. It suffers the same issues as the .308WIN @ 1000. Most bullets will go transonic before they get there. Enjoy it for what it is; a good long range target cartridge, and a decent mid range hunting cartridge.Yes, I did. Glad someone gets what I'm saying without getting all butthurt and letting personal feelings and bias into their reply. No, Mud is not wrong. I dont think anyone here is saying the 6.5 cm is a mile cartridge nor did the writer of that article so I'm not sure why you had to go off on a rant about it? Because you assumed people have "reading comprehension problems"?Glad someone gets what I'm saying without getting all butthurt and letting personal feelings and bias into their reply.
You're correct. As much as I love the .308 Win, it's not a mile cartridge. Can it shoot that far? Absolutely, with the right factors and bullets/ammo. Is it ideal for shooting that far? Nope.
My rant is not about the cartridge. It's about how idiots are going to read that article, then proudly proclaim it to be something it's not, and more magical rumors will get started.I dont think anyone here is saying the 6.5 cm is a mile cartridge nor did the writer of that article so I'm not sure why you had to go off on a rant about it?
