What’s your 600 and 800 yard group? Let’s see some

Hi, from New Zealand! I was shooting a fairly new custom 65-284 last weekend and got a 2 1/2 three shot group at 543 metres. 50 odd rounds down the tube.
I shoot off a bipod and bag but this time it was a jacket for the rear rest.
My 18 year old son shot a group just under 3" 20 minutes later at the same distance using my rifle.
Load is 130 VLDH 51.5gr ADI 2209 which is the H4350. @ 3025 FPS. Waiting for the barrel to shift gears as cut rifle barrels usually do and see another 100 FPS or thereabout.

It will be great to hear/see what you good folk consider a good group that will be inside the (kill zone) in field conditions at 600,800 and 1000 yards from a long range hunting rig.

Nice work. My increase in velocity was well over 170 with my 6mm creedmoor. It happened fairly quickly too. Less then 75 rounds.

This is a pretty typical group for this rifle in decent field conditions. 822 yards, 156 EOL out of my .260AI.

And here are a couple more. Not exactly 600 and 800 yard groups, but I shoot out in the Wyoming desert at random ranges, and it's the same general idea.

No I haven't taken any game at all with it. Luck hasn't been the greatest last couple years. I did miss a big buck this year but I was hunting in thick woods think my bullet hit a tree branch.

That's unfortunate, I'm sure that will change for the better! I should get myself a 7MM REM Mag. Have had a 280AI built on a Sako AV left hand long action 10 years ago.

Rifle is a trued R700 in 7mm Rem Mag
Bartlein #3 1-8.7 with APA Micro Bastard
Bedded in a HS Sporter
Talley light weights and a 5-20x56 SHV

Load is 70.5 grains of Retumbo with 168 VLD running around 3030

Fantastic! I need to get myself a 7mm REM Mag what is quiet popular here is a 300 Win Mag necked down to 7mm. It appears to be the best of both worlds but I prefer a 300 Win Mag and a 7mm Win Mag

Well I cant seem to find any 600 or 800 yard pictures but here is my personal best to date at 3027 yards. 26 3/4" three shot group
! The wind Gods were on my side that day!
338 Edge , 300 gr berger @ 2849 ft.per.sec. valdada 200 min. Adj base , Vortex Razor gen 1 .

Thanks! was It gradual or rapid for you. I have heard both. Literally 75 or 105FPS increase between 75 to 100 rounds.

I use a Kestrel elite with AB to help with the wind, what do you use? looking for any pointers, that's all.

Did you reduce you load or had fun with the extra 170

I like doing the same. Stick a target and drive away till I find a suitable spot to shoot from. Range using a Leica that talks to my Kestrel elite and try to get the wind right and shoot.
