I'm certainly not an expert when it comes to comparing rifle stocks, but it appears to me that the Super Varmint Roughtech stock is more substantial than the factory CTR rifle stock. It should be, IMO, based on price difference. Keep in mind that's opinion only, based on appearance and reported dissatisfaction reported by many concerning the CTR stock. I DO know that the stock on my SV certainly seems substantial enough. Hopefully others with more experience with both can give a better response.

I must be the only one who like the ctr stock then. Mine works great and I haven't found a need to change it.

I agree. I have Varminter in 223, the Varminter stocks seem to be sturdier.

I have a 20" Tikka CTR in .260 and last time out with it I fired 7 shots total and was 7 for 7 at 875. I put it away and went home.

But ...........if I was gonna spend TAC A1 money then it would be on a Masterpiece Arms PMR. They extremely smooth and stupid accurate.

Oh, I'm sure you're not the only one who's satisfied with their factory CTR stock. It's just that the posts in which the poster is changing out the stock are so prevalent. At least it seems so to me.

Seems like most folks jump out of a Tikka stocks when they purchase them. I just put a new 22-250 into a KRG Echo and really like it over the T3X Lite stock.
