When you say feed threw standard mag box is that 308 sized mag? If those would feed threw a 308 aics mag I don't think I can talk myself out of one. That's about perfect in every way. Is the brass tough to make or do you buy it? Nice rifle, sorry if I'm derailing slightly it's just the first I've seen of the 6.5 Sherman. I was debating a 6.5 wsm but this baby takes the cake.

It will feed thru a 308 LENGTH but you need a short mag WIDTH, and of course, a short mag size bolt face to accomodate the .550" case head. If you are set up for a WSM, you are set up for a Sherman. The brass is a little more difficult than just a pass thru since the shoulder is pushed back and the case shortened, but is not a huge deal for someone who is familiar with case prep, wildcatting, etc. I use a 7 saum shortened about .090" (just a cheap RCBS) to push the shoulder back. I them trim to length, turn the neck, neck down to 6.5 with the custom SS die, and fire form.........Rich

Here are my two best friends! And a little carnage.
Good shooting!

Don't post here much but my wife was kind to me on Friday and got me two things. 1st was a fuel can for my tractor. :D 2nd was a new (and my First) nightforce. I was waiting for the new MOAR-T reticle but she didn't know and bought me this one.
5-22X56 MOAR. I have this on a savage 110 in 300 Win Mag 20 MOA nightforce base and Medium rings.

Here is my 6mm Norma BR. that I had built for antelope hunting in Wyoming. Kevin Rayhill from Stockade Gun Stocks built it using a Savage Target action, 26" Brux barrel with a .271 throat. He beddeb it in his Prairie Dog / Tactical stock which has an adjustable cheek and other add ons. It is topped with a 20 moa rail by EGW and Burris Extreme Tactical Rings holding a Vortex 6-24x50mm PST MOA FFP scope with a Custom Turret. It is a very good shooter with Berger 105 gr. VLDs. I also painted the stock.

Here it is and the first 400 yd. target I shot at 400 yds. to test the accuracy of the custom turret. gun)- - - - - - - - - - - -
