Reloader 26 in 6.5 creedmoor

LoL yeah with the magical reloader 26 pixie dust your 6.5 creedmoor can gain 500 FPS in a 20" barrel. It is faster than a 264 win Mag and better yet it can match the all new 26 Nosler that needs a 26" barrel to achieve those same velocities. LoL!!! Sorry couldn't help myself.
Now that would be awesome! A 26 inch barrel, 140 grain bullet, rl26 and some common sense should allow a Creed shooter to be around 2900+-. So pretty good and as Cajun states better velocity than H4350.

I got to 3000 in the 26" with no sticky bolt or swipes. Primers looked good. It was more accurate around 2900. That's still 100-125 fps faster than H4350. The H4350 is just stupid accurate.

I did as well but I give conservative numbers so as not to get hopes to high for ppl. I hit pressure with my final charge weight. But my .5 grains less was 3027. I finalized at 2966 as best accuracy and speed.

All I can tell the 6.5 CM people is a 260 Terminator, 140 grain Berger bullets with a 26" Krieger Barrel and 49.5 grains of Reloader 26 achieve 3030 FPS. Max COAL is 2.870 do to mag length. Good luck on your builds and reload with extreme caution at your own risk.

Makes sense most guys are around 47.5-48.5 as their final charge weight putting them in the 2900+- range. Enjoy the Terminator.

The 260 terminator is an improved 260 with a +p bore rider throat. Of course it's going to outperform a creedmoor, it better it has 8% more case capacity and a low pressure throat design.

Some 6.5 Creedmoor reloaders are somehow putting the same powder charge as a 260 Terminator and achieving the same velocities. That's why I said please reload with extreme caution and at your own risk. 6.5 Creedmoor case length is 1.920 and the case diameter is .470. The 260 Remaining has a case length 2.035 and the same case diameter of .470 but yet somehow they can both hold the same powder weight charge according to some reloading info I've read on here. I have a 260 Rem and a 6.5 Creedmoor. Believe what you want. A 6.5 CM can not hold the same powder charge as a 260 Remington and especially not a 260 Terminator. Please get some reloading books and do your homework before you start reloading. Take a class if you must. I thank I'm going to put 24oz of beer in my 20 oz glass and have myself a beer. Good luck and be safe.

Use a funnel with a long drop tube.
And an electric toothbrush to vibrate it down.

Or you just use common sense high pressure indicators that as reloaders should be some of the first things you learn. Things like round primer edges., Hard bolt lift, ejector swipes, creators and how many shots you get before primers are not tight. I don't care what the pressure is of my rounds if none of the high pressure signs are there.

Not sure if that is hostility or a condescending statement, if it is I am unaware where it came from? Hopefully not!! 😀 Either way, I'm not arguing that point, and I'm not trying to say we need a better way to butter our bread, I agree that standard pressure signs override whatever the actual chamber pressure is anyway, safe is safe, SAAMI max pressure may ruin some types of brass with one fireing, and be mild with others. I'm simply pointing out the fact that with these type of loading techniques, max SAAMI and CIP pressures are rather irrelevant, noone is loading to those pressures. Everyone is loading until they see pressure anyway. I'm simply making conversation about the interesting nature of how different chambers, brass, and rifles handle and compare in chamber pressure.

PressureTrace will generate PSI estimates without calibrating the system to a factory load! Copied from their website.
Nice! I didn't see that last time I was on their site. I have thought about investing in one, simply out of curiosities sake, I thought that you had to shoot factory ammo to calibrate it though, and the biggest reason I would want one is for wildcats. I would like to know where I'm at with pressure vs what the brass is showing me, I think it would be very interesting.

Looking back through the thread it's obvious you just enjoy arguing, you've been provided Bergers data and many others showing they have loads even up to 49(not mine I ended at 48). So enjoy your night and I'll leave it that.

Cody it's neither and please don't think it is anything other than the statement that it is. If you look back at your post 413 you will see I gave it a like. Just saying every gun is different and as long as everyone uses the common sense rules of loading you won't get into trouble. Everyone that doesn't own a Creed and rl26 think we are only getting the speed we get by being way over pressure. That's simply not the case. It just is what it is. I've only had 1 Creed that didn't do 2900 with 140s and it was a 22 inch savage. It didn't pressure out early either it is just a real slow gun. Factory 143eldx ammo was shooting just over 2500fps. I did eventually get that gun up to 2800 with a 123. Sad.

Tidus I have found exactly that. 48 is just about where all mine are plus or minus a few tenths. I'm on the same batch of powder from day one so I don't know yet if different lots are going to change this number.
