"Finally got an 80F day on the range today, and 89gn of LRT, CCI-250, Peterson 28Nosler, 195 EOL, is pretty sticky on the bolt lift

I was going to use the high velocity node in my 27" barrel, but I think may have time to re-test, and back it back down to the 87-87.4 node?!

Previous testing in 43-50F weather, ES/SD were good & stable. It didn't go RL26 atomic device, but for sure at MAX, at 80F." Some of my recent results.

What was your velocity?

@DJ Fergus 3150 avg @ 80F. Using the 28 Peterson brass is where it's at though. Backed my charge down to the 87.2gr load (another flat spot) which should be in the 3062fps area according to my pressure test.

Out west hunting is in the books for this year . Time to do some late doe hunting here in Michigan.
I should have some results on LRT in a few weeks !

Yeah. Definitely interested in the 300 win with the heavies if that works. I have a 300 Norma and a short 21" 338 lapua that I'm going to start some load work up with before too long and I'll keep y'all posted on the results

I have some 212 eldx and 230 gr bergers to mess with in the 300 win..its only 24" barrel so I dont expect mach speed , just good accuracy! A buddy has his eye on the rifle but wants me to get it set up !

Same for me. I run the norma but a buddy of mine is running a win mag and we are shooting a lot of the 220 and 212 eld-x and the 225 eldm.

If any of your Michigan loads are fairly hot ones, Id be careful with them over 85 to 90 degrees or more.
To me thats the only downside for LRT.

Yeah, I developed some loads w RL 26 that were great in Michigan but were crazy in Texas this summer...

I used the 300 PRC load data from Ramshot as a starting point. Starting low and working up.
