RAMSHOT LRT POWDER

What do you like about N570 vs LRT that you'd stay with N570? Slightly more velocity?
Velocity, I'd have to look to be sure what the difference was but it was enough to grit my teeth trying to run it through my v3. It also outperforms everything else in my 6.5-300 with 156 Berger's.

First let me say my radar and I have a love/hate relationship.

7RUM. 160 grain Nosler BT.
99.5 grains of LRT up to 103 grains.
Coal 3.670. Just in mag well. 200 thou of lands in a factory light barrel ss 700 with cheap plastic stock. Stripped clean barrel. ADG virgin brass. 103 grains flattening primers a little. No swipe/ejector mark. This is the first I've ever loaded or shot a 7 rum. But looks promising imo.

I'll take suggestions, but I'm assuming that the general consensus would be 102.5 grains (7)..?
The hot rod in me wants to push on till I blow a prime and hopefully find a node up top.

For me, if I'm wanting it for longer range , I've found that holding it back a little works better. Nothing I can explain, just seems to work that way. I've used tuners to get the fastest velocity with tight groups and es/ds is decent but still seems backing down stays more consistent day to day. To each his own though

Agreed. I have long range rifles that I do that very thing with. Lapua, and heavyish 300 rums. But I have a few "fun guns" that I love to find the limits and ride the edge with. However, the older I get, the less I enjoy gettin the hell beat outa me.
I'm gonna load up a few at 102.5 and see if they are consistent tomorrow. But I also think I'll run a ladder with 140 accubonds and chase that Blister speed

Loved the 160BT for deer, in my 7STW, back in the day!

Just got 2 pounds of LRT to try in my 338LM. Starting slow then as I understand it better I'll go hotter. I do like the metering characteristics better than the extruded powders so we'll see how it performs off the bench. Hope the weather clears up, California is finally getting some rain. Looking for a Rotumbo replacement due to unavailability.
