New to 6.5 Creedmoor loading

Which powder was the most accurate for you? I understand H4350 is about like finding VV N570 in stock... I see StaBall is not temp sensitive and RL16 is the same and I do see those readily available.
Well wife has left the house so here is some more. Staying with the lighter bullets and varget (As that's what I have opened in the book) 107 SMK, Peterson brass CCI BR2, 40.7-40.9, with 40.9 giving me the best group (~2950FPS). This oddly, for me had the worst SD of 17.91 and an ES of 48.22 and an MOA 3.150 @350meters. I'm sure when I play with that some more it will improve. For really cheap pills they work wonders on coyotes. Love sitting up on the power lines after setting up a gut pile and hammering those yotes. (That what the young kids around here call coyotes; so you know...wanna feel young again. Lol). Now back to the data. Speaking of cheap pills.
Superformance is a good powder that offers better velocity then most but is temperamental. In colder months. 129gr interlock is an awesome mid range bullet. Try 45.7-45.9 this is an awesome traditional deer bullet that my bergara likes. I should mention that this is all data that my bergara gave with a 22" barrel and a matador muzzle break.
Ok I really need to go now.
l8er. (Young fella texting lingo) lol

Received the rifle yesterday from my FFL dealer, now waiting on my Weaver 20 MOA rail and cleaning rod, jags and nylon brush. I will probably put my Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 scope on it, I had been using it on my 28 Nosler. I will wait later on in the year and probably purchase an Athlon BTR Gen2 4.5-27x50 scope to put on it, cannot wait to have some good weather once the cleaning and scope base comes in.

I love mine I am thinking of upgrading the trigger to a trigger tech special called them and they said rem 700 fits

I measured my trigger last night, it broke clean three times in a row at 2lbs each time. No slack or creep in what I have, first factory trigger that feels that good.

Here is some more data. This is the Berger 140g HYT. / Peterson brass and fed gold match primer. (LRP)
varget. 36.3-36.5. Avg vel 2550.
N160. 38.9-39.1. Avg vel 2422.
both with excellent accuracy results of .500 MOA if my memory is correct. For some reason I didn't record itin my book. I suppose I could go dig up the target.

Berger 140gr elite hunter. Peterson brass. CCI 250 (like using mag primer with hunting bullets if they show early promise)
VV N-160
40.5-40.7 2505FPS. .325" @350M. I'm Sure a better shooter Could tighten that up.
More to follow.

For those that are concerned about the recommended starting load of 44gr of RL26, that is really low with that powder. You will have trouble getting enough in the case to go over pressure. Here is an example I put in notice this is a 22" barrel and not seated out very far. I'm going to try the ABLR 129 and I'm really tempted to try the 124 Hammer and 125 Cutting Edge.

I have a friend from this site that has multiple Creeds and told me to try it. I started at 45.0 gr and worked up. I never hit pressure and couldn't get any more powder in the case
It's been my experience that as long as I still have jump to the lands; that I can seat my pills shorter (increased COL), thus adding more powder and does not show adverse pressure signs. I've certainly seen moderate pressure signs when I've gotten the CBTO and or COL wrong and ended up in; even a mild jam ( touching the lands ) situation. If your looking for some extra velocity and have a rock solid accurate way to measure your CBTO and can stay off the lands then it's my opinion that putting in more powder is ok. "Sammy" specs are out dated. It seems like More and more Co. are manufacturing rifles with increased mag length and obviously chambers that can Handel these longer pills. I'm certainly no expert, just my observations. I wish I had the extra mag room in my sako 6.5CM Finnlight. Maybe I'll just install a 23-24" SS fluted 1:7 barrel
just my rambling thoughts.

I

On RL 16 ive got no expert opinion. Well, no opinion really on RL16. If you shoot a lot and can get your hands on staball 6.5. Buy the 8lbs jug. You won't regret it. It meters so well and accurate out of all 4 machines I have. ( 3manual and 1 auto ). Varget is awesome with the 142 SMK. But it really shines with the lighter bullets. 41.0-41.2 (2993 FPS@sea level) with a COL 2.710 for the 95gr VMAX.

40.0-40.2 (~2973 FPS @ sea level) with a COL of 2.765 for the 100gr ballistic tip.

mill post some more data when I can get to it. Honey do list awaits. Happy wife happy life ( I get to go shooting lol)
I've used reloader 16 between 4000' and 8500' elevation and between 18 degrees and 102 degrees. It was consistent all the time.
