New Antelope rifle arrived today !

That's definately a keeper which can be passed on through the family. Beautiful workmanship, really too good to be taken out hunting.

In another life long gone I used to build timber stocks. For hunting stocks, straight grain timber was preferable as it keeps point of impact better I've progressed to the stiffest, strongest, lightest unfinished milti layered carbon composite stocks that look crook but work so well. Guess that's why In like your timber stock so well.
