I followed Greyfoxs advice for my new M 92 cooper and went with Retumbo. After sorting the internal donut issue in the brass i ended up at 56.5gr with a berger 140EH and 2960 from a 24" barrel.
This load shot well from the beginning in new brass at 2910 but sped up after usual 100 or so rounds. The last 3 groups under .4 with es in the low teens and sd mid single figgers.

Reviving for updates.

I did a pressure test in my 6.5x284N with RL23, Lapua once fired cases, CCI200, 124HH from a 27" barrel. This barrel hasn't been as fast as I had hoped, seems to reach book velocities/pressure faster, but at lower charge weights (I guess 2 or 3 gr here and there is good economy of powder resources these days )

51.5gr 3005 FPS
52.5gr 3092 FPS ***where I will load up and test for hunting season.
53.5gr 3149 FPS slight ejector print/smiley
54gr 3182 FPS more pronounced ejector/shiny smiley
54.5gr 3240 FPS hard bolt lift, same as above/definitely over pressure.

By the way this is awesome Steve, my USED to be reloading Mecca close to home.
