I have a Glock 40 and no issues as well with cast bullets.I'll check into that.
I was told Glocks couldn't take cast bullets but mine did.
I'll check into that. Thanks for the info

Try 11.0 gr of blue dot with cci large magnum pp, my tens run over 1370 fps with 165 golden sabers an 180 xtp's. Never had to shoot a whitetail more than one time
I get most of my pistol bullets from Rim Rock. They're very local to me. They make the bullets for Buffalo Bore's cast stuff. I'm shooting their harder 200gr out of my 10mm over Bluedot. I shoot a softer 140gr out of my 40, a gas checked 255gr out of my 44 Mag, and a softer 125gr out of my 9mm. I also try to get some jacketed stuff for the 9mm from RMR bullets. Those two almost always have stuff in stock. If I like the bullet I will wait until a larger bullet comes in stock there or somewhere else.
Most of my pistols have red dots on them. Anything I buy moving forward, when possible, will likely have provisions for a dot. My first was my 10mm XDm OSP, I put a Leupold DPP on it. Love that site. Everything since has gotten a dot too.Just ordered a Holosun 407c Red Dot Reflex sight and Adapter Plate for my S&W 10mm.
Never owned a red dot on a pistol so it will be new to me but someone said once you use it you will wonder why it took all these years to get your first one.Adapter and sight should be in by this time next week.
I got the first sight as a less expensive option just incase I am not fond of it.Most of my pistols have red dots on them. I haven't tried a Holosun yet. I have a Vortex Viper on my PDP, the Sig that came in my P365X and the Delta Point. As far as clarity, size of the window and overall "robustness" I like the Leupold the most. I've heard great things about the Holosuns and want to swap the Sig out on my P365 for one. That one just seems cheaper, there's always a dot though. The Viper is clear, and compact which something can be said about, it's tiny compared to the DPP which is nice, but I like the bigger window. The Viper also has buttons on the side which is really nice. I also have a Burris Fastfire 3, but it sits on a turkey gun.I got the first sight as a less expensive option just incase I am not fond of it.
How would you rate the quality of different red dot reflex sights?
When I got my P365X I got an IWB holster for a P365, it would have fit no problem for length, but the optic wouldn't let it go in any further. I cut and sanded a bit off so the pistol would fit. If that's an option that may be the route I'd go. A little easier with kydex holsters than it would be for leather, as far as keeping it smooth and cutting. With a red dot reflex sight I will have to get a different holster I think.I have a Uncle Mike's ambidextrous holster I have had for many years and this S&W 2.0 fits like a glove but I can barely see the rear sight so I don't think the red dot will fit in there.
Any suggestions?
why is there a glock in the s&w holsterI wish I had kept all my past Glocks.

I've got 37 cal. and 416 cal in the house for a couple of rifles I use. I couldn't get gc's for my 405 win either but the 416 ones work fine... I'm betting they won't swage to 40 cal. though. I'll sniff around and see what I can find out for custom checks and stuffLefty7mmstw I got another shock lesson at 2:30 this am.No one makes 40 cal gas checks.
I went to Cast Boolits forum (they spell it funny) and someone asked the question as to why no 40 cal gas checks.
Several on the forum replied that you don't need gas checks on 40 S&W or 10 MM as it's below the threshold of leading if you size it correctly.
I read for 1/2 and hour and all that shoot 40 S&W and 10 mm shoot cast bullets but size them at least .002 over slugging measurement.
Zero leading with well over 400 rounds in a Glock 10mm but if I remember right he said he casts at 20- 22 Brinell hardness.Another said 15-18 on the Brinell scale. Some are using spray enamel paint as a coating and curing in an oven.
I had an Accurate Mold picked out with gas check but I can't find gas checks anywhere so I'll buy my bullets from Rim Rock or Cast Performance and powder coat them to insure zero leading.
