Lighter weight, faster 308 win load

I'm pushing 130 gr TTSX's with Lapua brass, 210M's and 53.4 gr of Win 748 out of a 20" Rem 700 at 3220 FPS. I have a video of the last deer I shot with it at 291 yds, it performs exactly as my buddy who filmed it exclaims in the video: "You f-ing smoked him!"
win 748 is one of those diamonds in the rough as far as powders, not many people use it making it readily available. it gives good accuracy and above average speeds making it perfect for the light/ fast mono trend going on now

Interested to hear about experiences with gas guns supersonic and subsonic
I have a Browning Short Trac Hog Stalker (FN Herstal FNAR with a paint job) that I shoot suppressed.

150 gr TTSX over 46.5 gr CFE223. Pretty mild load at 2660 ft/sec. Mild mannered, bullets readily available, and plenty accurate. I like that the powder meters so well.

And just to be clear I did not shoot that Buff, it was a member of an independent test group, but I can put you in touch with that fella and the PH to verify all information that I post
I have no doubt the story is true nor do I have the need to verify. English is my second language, though some might argue its my third. People have a problem with my spelling, my fingers don't always follow my brain, and I have a problem with the selection of words. First hand, means a person was there, second hand, means a person heard from the person who was there. I know, most of us are passionate people and sometimes we let the passion take over.

Time for the grill and cool drinks

I agree. When I developed this load I sought the opinions of others, and most swore by Varget or H4895. I use a bunch of Win 748 for 5.56, so I gave it a try per Barnes load data, and it gave me way better velocity and groups than everything else.

also works good with heavy .224 bullets. Speer 70 sp. with close to max on their website will get an honest 3000fps in 20-22" barrels. it is also one of the powders to test with the Maker bullets
