I just finished building this rifle. I ordered parts summer 2021, did the metal work last December, worked on stock January to June. Atlas RBLP receiver, full floating Brux 29" barrel with Heavy Palma profile, Arrowhead brake & ignition, Timney 533 trigger, bedded & triple pillared Richard's stock. Puts out a 300 gr Arrowhead NSR bullet at nearly 3000 fps using 80 grains H322. Took 2 rounds to sight it at 50, 1 at 100, 2 at 200, then put 4 rounds into one hole in the center of a 2" dot at 200 yards. And zero copper fouling afterward. I'm liking it!

2" dot at 200 yards. First 2 high & right, adjusted scope, put 4 rounds in center.

Here's the first groups shot based on a velocity ladder I did back on July 22nd. I had intentions of shooting more than just 2 groups this evening, but when I saw how things were going on paper I decided to just let well enough alone and end it grinning from ear to ear. Man, I LOVE these rifles!

Lookin good! I may get some time tonight to work on mine. I have to open up the barrel channel a little bit for the longer shank. Then o can piller bed it. Hope mine is that easy to work up a load, I'm sure it will. That load will do pretty much anything you need to do, that's for sure.

Are you shooting bullet-to-bore? I think all these highly accurate rifles are B-B, but i just wanted to confirm it.

First of all i was Freaking polite when this thread started about shutting it down. Its freaking killing me. I called McWhorter today because you guys are killing me and spoke to kyle with a bunch of questions i had. He answered everything i had and now just have to make some scope decisions and put an order in. You guys are super bad influence

Stoppp. No dont order a 45xml stay strong. Knees dont buckle. Stop shaking. You can hold out. Dont listen to these guys. Gulp

Are you shooting bullet-to-bore? I think all these highly accurate rifles are B-B, but i just wanted to confirm it.

I am shooting the Pittman 278gr Accumax 'Hard Core' bullet to bore. Initially I tried to shoot them using a .060" wool wad and they just wouldn't group at all with a wad for whatever reason. I would get the "2 in/1 waaay out scenario" EVERY single time (I'd post a pic of that, but the dreaded "pop up" is back saying "The upload failed because the file could not be written to the server"). I'll try later today because I want you to see what I'm talking about.
Now, when I shoot Arrowhead XLD's I use a wool wad with those and they group anywhere from 1/4-1/3 moa at 200 yards consistently.

Well, honestly I had a few "hiccups" initially. I shot a velocity ladder (Magnetospeed V3) using the 278gr Pittman's and wool wads to locate the nodes (which I did) and I just couldn't get the Pittman's to group using a wad. So, I ran another velocity ladder WITHOUT wads and found the nodes again (they were different without wads) and the 2 groups I just posted are the results. I'm pretty confident with them now after shooting back-to-back groups like that….both of which are just a hair away from being 1/4 minute at 200 yards.

Just DO IT!! I have to be honest here and say that this kind of shooting is the most fun I've had in a long time and it really appeals to me. I never thought a muzzleloader would be capable of this kind of velocity/accuracy. I'm completely mesmerized…..and HOOKED!!!

I have to say i agree. Totally! The crazy impressive velocity accuracy and power is just insane. I mean a 325 gr Pittman at over 3100 fps is nutz in every sense of the word while maintaining sub 1/2 moa. Good grief.
