Hike 2.5 miles, sneak over mt in crusty snow, hear him coming, 110 yards steep downhill offhand shot. Target was kind enough to pause for a split second. Impact, high shoulder, probably in the 7 ring at 11:00 position

Yeah not much fun when nobody joins in .

I'm going to attempt 10" plate at 1480 yards tomorrow.

4 positions 4 targets 4 rounds and 90 seconds to shoot it. Targets were at 449 yards.7-12 mph winds and rain. Went 4/5 on a life size bear at 1080. Didn't think to take the spotter due to weather.

I'm not surprised more people haven't joined in. I believe most people don't shoot near as much as they should for the distances they attempt to shoot game at.

I've been too lazy......was going to go today, but casting bullets undercover was much more convenient than going out in the down pour of rain..... I have some loads to test so I keep thinking I'll do the challenge when I go shoot those but laying prone in the rain testing loads just doesn't sound fun. Maybe just have to run up in the woods and just shoot it.

I' going to put up a target with 8-one inch dots on it then I can point to the nearest one and say "I did it!" Lol
Weather coming in again later today may be fouled up.

most of my life i lived and hunted in adk park ,
including a bus camp in chestertown.
came out to hunt muley and pronghorn in WY 20 yrs ago and started the plan to move here .
upstate NY is awesome but the city runs the taxes and laws amock , i just plain couldnt stay there .
does the big chicken still stand in town ?

The Chicken sure does but has been vacant for a long time... Actually, it is about time someone hooks up to it and tries to pull it over again Lol.

Not for me…….no shooting (except in self-defense) for me until about the 3rd. week of February.

I'm going away for a anniversary trip this week, but I don't dare ask my wife if I can slip in a shooting session in.

Heck why not shoot off the bed of the truck so we can see how many put holes in there beds. lol
