Practice we dont need no stinkin practice!! Don't get to practice shoot when the animal is standing there...gotta take the shot!Wondering what the next one will be so a guy can practice?
200 yards off a fence post or gate is my suggestion.
Maybe we should plan this out. If we go too fast, we'll run out of challenging positions. Why not do 200 kneeling? Than 300 with a fence post/gate.
I realize we're not supposed to practice on game day, but I think this is a great motivation to practice different field positions.Practice we dont need no stinkin practice!! Don't get to practice shoot when the animal is standing there...gotta take the shot!

Does kneeling include sitting?
I'd be ok with waiting on a rest....
February kneeling with no rest at 200 yards
March sitting with no rest at 300
April prone with no rest at 400
May kneeling with a rest at 500
June sitting with a rest at 600
July prone with a backpack for a front rest at 700
August prone with bipod- no rear bag at 800
September prone with front bipod and rear bag at 900
October same as Sept at 1000.
Just some suggestions.
Sorry Jiggyli, I'm not sure where to put the "shooting out the truck window" or even the "across the hood" shot.
And a radial brake so you have a beautiful powder burned hood afterwardsNovember 50 yards out the window.
December 100 yards off the hood with no rests.
Possibly a cracked windshield also. And a radial brake so you have a beautiful powder burned hood afterwards
That's 100% correctOctober and November are deer targets?
They need to add a position: out the pickup window
My advantage seeing as I am a Lefty
I 100% expected to be 3"+ away. I dry fired the bolt gun a couple times trying to get my sway and trigger pull timed. Sat down the bolt gun after dry firing and immediately picked up the ar found the water bottle in my thermal and sent one. Sat it down, threw a round in the bolt gun picked it up and sent it. Maybe I was confident after watching the water bottle splatter through the thermal or maybe all the years of walking around when I was a kid shooting everything free hand helped. I didn't even own a bipod or shooting sticks until my 20's and started to really get into shooting longer distances. I'm gunna say it was mostly just dumb luck though.Like I said, in my case it was 100% luck because there was NO way to keep the rifle steady!
Heck of a range in your backyard! So 10 mins start with pic 1 , shoot ,walk 100 yrds to target with tape measure , take picture 2 and walk back inside ,
the next 50 mins has been trying to get my phone to "airdrop" the pictures to my ipad
